Conference mission
Provide an opportunity for the academic community and students to join in the discussion of challenges facing faith-based microfinance through engaging speakers and panel discussion.
Conference vision
Through an annual summit of microfinance practitioners, Eastern University Microfinance aims to educate the academic community, resolve apparent discrepancies between factions and ensure that faith-based microfinance is done in an environment that is conducive to faith, reason and justice.
Conference objectives
Explore microfinance objectively in order to create an unbiased environment for discussion.
Provide basic education of microfinance for students of all majors and backgrounds.
Foster discussion to resolve rifts in interfaith microfinance by involving organizations from a variety of faith practices.
Critically discuss the theology of microfinance.
